On December 12 and 13, 2016, Mr. Verbiest Laurent, who is in charge of Asian business at the Brussels Invest & Export, and Mr. Marc De Mil, an international tax expert from the Belgian Treasury, visited Korea. During their visit to Korea, GBP arranged meetings with Korean companies planning to enter Europe and Mr. Laurent and Mr. De Mil explained about the benefits of Brussels as a European business hub and the Tax incentive provided by the Belgian government. GBP also assisted in hosting a joint seminar between the Brussels Investment & Export and the Korea Fintech Forum under the theme of "Belgium Brussels's ICT and Fintech Environment and Corporate Evolutionary Tax System." Focusing on Belgium's fintech and IT industries, delegations from Bressels have guided Korean companies that Brussels functions as a bridgehead and a venue for opportunities to advance to Europe.
